MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY 2013!!!!!!

This last week has been special in Artxandape ikastola because Christmas time was closer and closer. Students have made projects to know more about this special time of the year. Fifth grade students have learnt about Christmas in other places such as Australia, Canada, UK, USA or even the Hannouka. Fourth grade pupils have created their own advert calendar and finally, third grade students have coloured their own Christmas greeting card.

We love animals!!!!!

In this first unit third grade students have been learning many things about animals. They have learnt about vertebrate and invertebrate animals, they have also studied the different types of vertebrates; reptiles,birds mammals, amphibians and birds.Now they already know what do animals eat and how they reproduce.
In order to show what they have learnt students have created some wonderful works!!!

Autumn in the forest!

The winter is knocking at our door and the cold is coming around Artxandape. The girls and boys form LH2 have been learning about the seasons and the way the trees change during the year. Children had fun and expressed themselves creatively while they were making the collage with natural elements. They all brought different kind of natural things to class, such as leaves, nuts, mushrooms... and they made a really great work!

Move your body!

Children in LH1 have been learning about the human body. We have done different kind of activities and we have also learnt some songs, all about the parts of the body. To come to an end with this unit we have been working on a little project. Children have demonstrated their ability to make a puppet after learning a rhyme that helped us with the instructions...

Put the head on the body.

Put the feet on the legs, and the legs on the body.

Put the hands on the arms and the arms on the body.

NEW AND OLD BILBAO

Fourth grade students have been learning about the differences between the villages, cities and towns. They have also learnt the different kinds of services that can be found in a city, such as visible an underground services.
Along with this students have made several posters describing the different services we could find in the old Bilbao and the new services that we can find in Bilbao nowadays. Great job boys and girls!!!!

LEARNING ABOUT LIVING THINGS AND THEIR LIFE PROCESSES

In this Science unit 5th grade students have learnt many things about living things, such as their characteristics.

Along with this, students have also learnt the different life processes that living things go trough during their lifes: Nutrition, reproduction and interaction.

In order to get familiarised with all this new information, students have created some power point presentations that explain us the life processes of three living things: Butterflies, Frogs and Plants.

It has been a very hard work,  but you have created very very good works boys and  girls!!!!!
