Reading in HH1 (3 year old)

Jolly Phonics

We keep on working with Jolly Phonics in pre-school education. Children are learning the main skills for reading and writing in English. They have really fun and they enjoy a lot with the Spotty snake, Inky the mouse and all the other characters...

The changing landscape

At the moment fifth graders are learning the different changes that can happen in landscape, such as, erosion or pollution.They have also studied what can happen when a volcano eruption starts. In order to understand better how a volcano works they created one themselves and they could saw the effects. Enjoy!!!

Autumn Posters

The children in LH2 have been learning about the seasons and the way the trees change during the year. Children had fun and expressed themselves creatively while they were making the collage with natural elements. They all brought different kind of natural things to class, such as leaves, nuts, twigs, mushrooms... and they made a really great work!

Our students are improving their speaking skills, so they prepared the project presentations with that purpose. They are working hard and for sure they are getting more and more confident while talking in English...

Jolly Phonics

Realizing the importance of English and in order to improve the reading and writing skills, as well as speaking skills, the method Jolly Phonics has been implemented during this school year.  

We are already working on the five basic skills:
      1. Learning the letter sounds
      2. Learning letter formation
      3. Blending
      4. Identifying sounds in words
      5. Spelling the tricky words

Making an inventory

    During the last weeks second grade students (LH2) have learnt the names of the different places and furniture we can find in the school. We also worked on the activities we do in school: read, write, play, sing, draw, ...

    In order to give it a practical overview the children made an inventory of the equipment in both the classroom and the library.

Creating a city!

After having learnt the names of the different places we can find in our cities, 4th graders have created incredible models of their dreamed city. Have a look because they have done an incredibly great work!!!

We are scientist!!!

Fifth year students have become scientist for some weeks. To achieve that aim first they learnt the different steps that should be followed in a scientific project:
-Question
-Hypothesis
-Experiment
-Results
 Afterwards, they put it in practice:
First I made a question: Which paper is more absorvent?
They drawned up their hypothesis and to prove it we did an experiment.
We all went to the laboratory in order to check which paper was going to be the most absorvent.

Following what you are  going to see are the results the students got after the experiment. Was their hypothesis right or wrong?

During this unit we have been working on the topic FOOD in LH1. We have been learning about different and healthy meals. We thought it was a good way to celebrate the end of the unit with a fruit party.

Farm animals

Students in LH2 have been learning about animals on the farm. We have learnt how to look after them and the produce we get from them...

During this unit students in HH3 have been traveling around the jungle and discovering different animals, such as, the noisy elephant, the quiet crocodile, the noisy bird or the quiet snake.

What's the weather like?
